In 2010 my friend Nike (pronounced ‘ni-cky’) started her own clothing line in Brooklyn, the now-defunct EKINEYO. She made wonderful use of colors, interesting silhouettes, and flattering fabrics. I was thrilled when she gave me a couple of pieces to shoot in exchange. We collaborated with the talented photographer and musician Vanessa Rondon who captured these dark and dreamy fun moments at my old place on the Upper East Side.
